Writing is Thinking

In life all these things are happening to you; you barely stop to see what they are. Your mind is processing them and picking up half-processed patterns that shape your worldview.

You live your life and interpret things based on this worldview. But here is the catch: this worldview of yours is flawed. It’s not closer to reality — it’s just your impression of reality, which you never considered to check.

Your thoughts are like random lines drawn on paper, intertwined into each other, forming jalebis. There is no clarity in them. Most of the thoughts are just repetitive. You are just thinking the same thing. Sometimes, when you don’t desire these thoughts, they turn into anxiety and worries.

Writing is paying attention to your thoughts. Writing is disciplined thinking where you are not stuck in recurring thought patterns. You can see your mind in action. If you’re thinking without writing, you only think you’re thinking.
